MOB Brooklyn: Origins

For Cyril Aouizerate, MOB is a dream come true, and this dream is structured around three objectives:
- Make Brooklyn the place of avant-garde American cuisine by bringing out balanced, natural, vegetarian and vegan cuisine that is always respectful of the earth.
- Make gastronomic and natural food available and affordable to everyone, especially to young New Yorkers, since first-rate restaurants usually aim for comfortable adults.
- Make the vegetarian cuisine enjoyable and non-sectarian by enlivening it with the HIP HOP slogan: "Peace, Love, Unity and Having Fun". MOB wanted to prove that fusion between gastronomy and vegetarian cuisine is achievable; that with the talent of great chefs, a meal composed of organic vegetables, fruits, herbs, local products, accompanied by a glass of wine or beer, could be a pleasurable experience even to people who cannot imagine life without eating meat.

In 2011, our first MOB New York restaurant opened in the heart of Brooklyn. Working totally independently from the food-processing industry, we believe in the uninterrupted dialogue between French and American Chefs, which allows us to create our very own cuisine, one that is 100% natural and free of any animal product recipes.

MOB Marais - Paris

In 2012, the first Paris MOB restaurant opened its doors on 30, Rue Charlot in the heart of the historical Marais neighborhood. After a full renovation in 2014, MOB has reopened in an old, traditional shop, steps away from the "Red Children Market" and the renovated  "Carreau du Temple". The new MOB can now seat 28, and every day 28 people can delight in MOB’s animal protein-free specialties, which have brought such success to the restaurant. Plus, there is now take-out lunch service for working people on-the-go.

MOB Cité de la Mode et du Design - Paris

The second Paris MOB restaurant opened in June 2013 on "Quai d’Austerlitz" (Seine River bank), within the cultural complex "La Cité de la Mode et du Design" designed by the Jakob and MacFarlane architect firm. The new restaurant has a seating capacity of 78 inside and more than 50 on the terrace with a view on the Seine. Incorporated into the bold and ingenious design of the Cité, the new restaurant welcomes an eclectic crowd for lunch and dinner – students from The French Fashion Institute; museum-goers; people enjoying a stroll along the Seine; or simply people from the neighborhood. Everyone is welcome, and all will appreciate the innovative and satisfying dishes made from fresh vegetables.
